Playing outside

hello world

hiding the bouncy ball

I could follow this kid around all day just taking photos. He is always taking care of business!

Spring flowers

daffodill down

I've been taking a walk every day to get my strength and stamina back up. The flowers are starting to pop out everywhere and the weather was very pleasant this weekend. I'm posting three days worth today to catch up with blogging photos. This blog just pasted the 10,000 visitor mark today. A modest accomplishment but it makes me happy to know I'm sharing my snapshots of beauty with you!

I'm making an appliqué quilted wall hanging for my older sister, as a graduation present. She recently completed an MBA online. She is my inspiration!

The Swing

by Robert Louis Stevenson

How do you like to go up in a swing?
Up in the air so blue
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!

the rest of the poem is here.

Hot house tulips

secrets

Tulips Buster brought home for me. They were hard green buds two days ago. The sun has called them out.

seeds, buds, sunshine

herb seed trays

I can't seem to get enough of planting seeds. I am going to give these away to friends and maybe take some plants to the library plant sale in May. Looking forward to working in the garden over the next couple months.

pussy willow sprout

The pussy willow twigs are starting to put out leaf buds.

sitting in the sun

Sunday afternoon we sat in the sun. Punkin was a grouch in need of cuddling and I was happy to oblige.

In the Light

Sunday morning

Sunday morning, ready for church, watching TV. Something about the way their shoulders lean towards each other grabs my heart.

polished stones

I never get enough of polished stones.

table & chair

Discount store chairs, thrift store table. Both shaky. But lordy they glow in the sunlight.

Three days worth of beautiful

prayer plant

The technology committee at my school sent me this lovely flower & tropical plant arrangement. I love the combination of colors and textures.

paperwhite back

I am also delighted with the way my paperwhites have opened to the scattered sunlight this week.

neighbor's crocus

These are my neighbor's crocus in the front garden.

I am home, happy, and recovering from surgery # 2. Pathology reports came back completely negative. Doc said "no further treatments necessary".

I am CANCER FREE!!! Hallelujah Praise Jesus!!

beautiful sisters

This is the day the purple crocus burst out of the backyard in every nook and cranny. We are officially on spring watch. I saw the groundhog hanging out by the shed and the lilac buds are peeling back purple to green scales. Buddy is wearing roller skates and Punkin is digging in the sand box. I can't stop the happy.
