Week of photos

Started a new job and I don't have as much time to take or post photos. Here are a few from this weekend.

Can you believe the first crocuses are out today? This is the earliest I have ever seen them around here. It's kind of scary.

Got to about 50 degrees with sun and blue skies today. Hard to complain about that!

Puck's Pinewood Derby

Puck's Pinewood car is red, originally uploaded by Andi Sibley.

Puck's Pinewood Derby car is the red one. We came in the middle of the pack; not the fastest but not the slowest. Pretty good for the first time!

A Blustery Weekend

I've been watching the bird feeders and only just today got outside for a walk. Finally some sunshine!

Love the way the moss glows and the dry beech leaves rattle in the wind.

What are you seeing these days?

chess board

My youngest son is interested in learning chess, so I am polishing up my game. Afraid I need some tutoring so I had to get out the books... Do you have any tips for me?

Went for a cold walk on the powerline trail today. You never know what you are going to find hidden in the weeds.

leaf in thin ice

I stopped by the nature center to watch the bird feeders for a while this morning. Lots of birds but I didn't get any good shots of them. Only caught the leaves stuck in a thin scum of ice on the pond.

heart wreath

heart wreath, originally uploaded by Andi Sibley.
I made this wreath out of rags. I found the idea on Red Tag Art's blog here. The directions call for making the frame out of wire but I decided to make mine out of cardboard from my recycling bin.

The front is more puffy but I like the back better (pictured at the top).
